CXP Elects Barnett to Board of DirectorsDALLAS, July 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Centex Construction Products, Inc. (NYSE: CXP) announced it has elected F. William Barnett to its board of directors.

Mr. Barnett, 56, recently retired from his position as a director in the Dallas office of McKinsey & Company, Inc. after 23 years with the firm. During his career with McKinsey, Mr. Barnett advised clients in a variety of industries, including industrial, energy, retail, consumer products, health care, financial services, media, telecommunications and electronics companies across a wide range of topics in business strategy, organization and operations. In addition to his advisory responsibilities, Mr. Barnett also served McKinsey by leading the firm's strategy and economic development practice groups.

Mr. Barnett has authored six articles on different business strategy topics and currently serves on the board of directors for the International Rescue Committee in New York. Additionally, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Mr. Barnett received a B.S. in engineering from the United States Military Academy and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
