Steven R. RowleyPresident and Chief Executive Officer -
Steve Rowley, 56, was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Materials Inc. (formerly Centex Construction Products) in September 2003.
Mr. Rowley joined the company in 1991 as Plant Manager of Nevada Cement Company. In 1995, he became Executive Vice President of Illinois Cement Company, an Eagle Materials subsidiary, and was named Executive Vice President, Cement in 1998. In January 2001, Mr. Rowley's responsibilities expanded when he assumed the role of Executive Vice President, Cement and Aggregates/Concrete for the corporate parent.
Mr. Rowley has more than 28 years' and senior management experience in the portland cement industry. Prior to joining the company, he was Project Manager and Plant Manager for Florida Crushed Stone. Previously, Mr. Rowley served as Manager at Kaiser Cement Company and Chief Chemist and Process Engineer of Gifford Hill Company.
Mr. Rowley holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Arizona. -
Gerald J. EsslExecutive Vice President, Cement and Concrete/Aggregates -
Gerry Essl, 60, was named Executive Vice President of Eagle Materials (formerly Centex Construction Products) in November 2002. Mr. Essl has a total of 31 years' experience in the construction products industry. He joined Eagle Materials in 1975 as Lab Analyst at its Illinois Cement Company operation and has held various production positions throughout many of Eagle Materials' other cement subsidiaries. Mr. Essl subsequently became President at Texas Lehigh Cement Company in 1985.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Essl served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Essl received a B.S. in chemistry from Illinois State University.

Dave PowersExecutive Vice President, Gypsum -
Dave Powers, 59, was named Executive Vice President of Eagle Materials Inc., (formerly Centex Construction Products) in January 2005.
Mr. Powers has 35 years' experience in the gypsum industry and joined American Gypsum Company in 2002. In 1972, he began his career at USG Corporation where he held various positions at the corporate and subsidiary levels, Director of Operations at L&W Supply, and Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Marketing at USG Interiors.
Mr. Powers received a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. -
James H. GraassExecutive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary -
Jim Graass, 52, joined Eagle Materials Inc. (formerly Centex Construction Products) in November 2000 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In July 2001, he was named Secretary of the company. Previously, Mr. Grass served as Executive Vice President of CTX Mortgage Company, a subsidiary of Dallas, Texas-based Centex Corporation. He joined the Centex organization in 1991 as Associate General Counsel for Centex Corporation. In this role, he provided legal support for Centex Corporation, Centex Construction Products (now Eagle Materials) and CTX Mortgage Company. In 1994 Mr. Graass became General Counsel for CTX Mortgage Company and was appointed Executive Vice President in 1999.
Prior to his career with Centex, Mr. Graass was an associate in the corporate and securities section at Hughes & Luce in Dallas.
Mr. Graass holds a B.A. in economics from Tufts University, an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University.

Kerry GannawayVice President, Gypsum Manufacturing -
Kerry Gannaway, 50, was named Vice President of Eagle Materials Inc., (formerly Centex Construction Products) in January 2005.
Mr. Gannaway has 26 years' experience in the gypsum industry. He is currently Senior Vice President/ Manufacturing of American Gypsum Company and is on the board of directors of the Gypsum Association. Mr. Gannaway joined American Gypsum Company in 1991 as an Operations Manager at the Bernalillo, New Mexico facility.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Gannaway worked ten years for USG Corporation where he held various engineering and production management positions.
Mr. Gannaway received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University and attended Northwestern University's Kellogg Business School for Executive Management. -
Franklin GreenVice President, Engineering and Technology -
Franklin Green, 40, was named Vice President of Eagle Materials in April 2007.
Mr. Green joined Eagle Materials in 2005 as Senior Corporate Engineer. He served as the Project Manger for the Illinois Cement Company plant expansion in 2005-2006 and is currently Vice President of Engineering and Technology. Mr. Green has more than 16 years of engineering, project management and operations experience in the Portland cement industry. Prior to joining Eagle Materials, he held various management positions at the corporate engineering and operations levels for Cemex Inc.
Mr. Green received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University Peoria, IL. Mr. Green also attended Stanford University, INSEAD, and Monterrey Tech for international management. -
Craig KeslerExecutive Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO -
D. Craig Kesler, 33, was named Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer in August 2009. Mr. Kesler, who joined Eagle in 2004, served as Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development since 2005. Prior to joining Eagle Materials, Mr. Kesler served multi-national clients during his tenure in public accounting with Arthur Andersen LLP and Ernst & Young LLP. He holds a B.A. in Accounting from Southwestern University and is a Certified Public Accountant. -
Keith MetcalfVice President, Gypsum Sales -
Keith Metcalf, 51, was named Vice President of Eagle Materials Inc., (formerly Centex Construction Products) in January 2005.
Mr. Metcalf has 28 years' experience in the gypsum industry. He joined Eagle Materials in 1986 as General Manager/VP for Florida Gypsum Services in Orlando, Florida, and later served as General Manager / VP for Rio Grande Drywall Supply in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was promoted in 1996 to Director of Sales and was more recently appointed Vice President of Sales of American Gypsum Company.
Prior to joining Eagle Materials, Mr. Metcalf worked seven years for L&W Supply Corporation, a subsidiary of USG Corporation.
Mr. Metcalf attended the University of Michigan School of Business. -
William R. DevlinSenior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer -
William R. Devlin, 43, was named Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in August 2009. Mr. Devlin joined Eagle Materials in 2004, served as Vice President Controller since 2005. Prior to joining Eagle, Mr. Devlin. Prior to joining Eagle, Mr. Devlin spent 16 years in public accounting with KPMG in Jackson, Mississippi, and with PricewaterhouseCoopers. During his time with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Devlin was in the audit practice in Dallas, Texas, and in the Global Capital Markets practice in London, England and Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Devlin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Millsaps College and is a Certified Public Accountant. -
Robert S. StewartExecutive Vice President, Strategy, Corporate Development and Communications -
Bob Stewart, 56, joined Eagle Materials Inc. in August 2009 as Executive Vice President for Strategy, Corporate Development and Communications.
Previously, Mr. Stewart was an executive officer at Dallas-based Centex Corporation, a leader in homebuilding and related industries, where he had responsibility for Strategy, Corporate Development, Marketing, Sales and Communications.
Prior to joining Centex in 2000, Mr. Stewart enjoyed a 23-year career at the Weyerhaeuser Company, a global forest products firm, where he held a range of key leadership positions, both corporate and international.
Mr. Stewart holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Washington, where he graduated with first-in-class honors, and where he received a Bachelor's degree in English, with a minor in Mathematics.
